Heel pain is one of the common pain people are suffering from these days. After a headache, it won’t be wrong to call it the second most common pain all over the world. It can be mild or chronic and vary from person to person. Here are the few causes and treatments for the heel pain:

People who are into sports or do a lot of physical activity can get this issue. Moreover, women who wear high heels for long times can get heel pain too. Heel pain occurs when the band of muscles beneath our feet (known as plantar fasciitis) is overstrained. This results in the accumulation of lactic acid, which causes a lot of pain. Standing for so long in one position can also cause this issue. So the best way to avoid it is by taking a rest for a few minutes after few hours.

The best and the easiest way to treat the heel pain are doing plenty of rest. Sometimes, it gets triggered when you have a tough routine and you don’t find time to get relaxed. So the best thing you can do is to get relaxed. Take some time off your work and rest in your bed. Always remember that your health is far more important than any of your work, so make it your priority as well. You can do all the business later. So, rest as much as you can. It can be treatable with the rest alone.

·        Ice packs:

When it comes to any kind of pain, the best way to treat is by using the ice packs. Ice packs help to reduce the swelling of your heel and eventually your pain too. Actually, what the ice packs do, is to cool the nerve endings for some time, which are causing the pain signals. This can be very beneficial to reduce the pain soon. However, if the pain persists, you need to visit a doctor immediately.

·        Massage:

Sometimes, a massage is all you need. Massage can solve many muscle issues and make you feel alive again. It can also help to reduce the body pressure and muscle soreness. People who massage their body regularly can have a toned body in a few days. If you have some heel problems, you can regularly massage your feet lightly to make the muscles calm. This is the easiest way to get rid of any muscle issues.

Medicine is the second last solution to deal with any kind of pain. If you are having some foot pain, you can treat it with the help of sport medicine. Medicines can soothe the muscles for some time, but when it comes to the permanent solution, they are not worth it.  Some people even choose the option of surgery because they are so done with the pain. Surgeries, on the other hand, are the last option and it’s a bit riskier than others. So make sure to try other options before this one.
